CASCADE — a spinning Seal holds back the Void.

CASCADE is a defend-the-Seal auto-survivor about assembling a machine and watching it come apart at the seams. in the best possible way. At the center sits the Seal, ringed by a slowly spinning circle of arcane Glyphs that fire on their own. Around it, the Void pours in an endless swarm of wraiths. You don't aim and you don't move. You build the ring, and you watch it hold.

You start by binding three of six Glyphs, and those three define your entire run. Ember throws explosions that wipe whole clusters. Rime freezes wraiths so they shatter on death and chain-shatter their neighbors. Storm arcs chain lightning across the swarm. Void drags wraiths into a tight, crawling cluster, and makes everything that lands inside it hit harder. Blight spreads poison from corpse to corpse, and its damage scales right alongside your build so it never falls off. Lance punches a piercing bolt straight through a whole line.

The magic is in the chain reactions. Cluster a pack with Void, freeze it solid, let a Storm arc trip the shatters, watch the shatters feed an explosion, watch that explosion light a pool of fire while a poisoned death seeds three more. One good shot can clear a third of the screen. A strong build, deep into a run, turns the whole arena into a rolling fireworks display  single chains have hit 600-plus kills.

You make only two kinds of decision. As you level, most upgrades apply themselves  your numbers just climb while you watch. Every couple of levels you stop to pick a real growth card: another Glyph, a stacking stat, or a build-defining sigil. And every few cards, the Void corrupts in answer the wraiths grow tougher, faster, or more numerous, and you choose how. It's an arms race you steer against yourself.

A run lasts five minutes. The swarm scales relentlessly the whole way, and your own corruption picks pour fuel on it, so the back half is dense and frantic. Hold to the timer and the spawns stop the Seal goes untouchable and you mop up the last of the swarm, cascades and all, for the win. Let the Seal break and it's over. Either way it's about ten minutes, it runs right in your browser, and there are twenty different Glyph combinations to take apart.

Bind three, hold the Seal, and watch it cascade.

Great! I like how the choices you make actually matter, unlike some other games I've playtested. The VFX are great as well! Adding audio would help though.

Love the effects on impacting all the enemies. Plus the variety and progression! The projectile / impact feedback makes for a really great auto-battler / tower defense. Now just needs tasty audio! Awesome work.

Exciting game with very interesting mechanics :)

Thank you so much! also thank you for the donation!!!
