Shot Caller
SHOTCALLER.
SHOTCALLER is a 5v5 arena auto‑battler I've been building on my own. The idea is simple: you're the coach, not a player. You never move a hero directly. You draft the team, set the plan, and then you watch it play out and adjust.
The draft is where most of the game is. There are 15 heroes, each with their own kit, synergies and counters, and a full pick‑and‑ban phase. You can hover any hero to read its abilities, see how it fits your comp, and get a rough sense of whether it's good or bad into the enemy picks. Ban their strongest pick, draft into their weaknesses, then commit.
Then you set up and watch. You pick a team game plan, tweak each hero's build and role, and choose a teamfight focus (who to kill first, who to protect). After that the match runs itself, and you follow it with a camera that tries to keep up with the action on its own. You can take manual control and there's a minimap if you want to look elsewhere.
There's stuff to fight over. Eight capture zones that you can only take next to ground you already hold, so the front line actually moves. A pit boss in the middle that you have to walk into the pit to fight (ranged heroes can't just poke it from safety), where the last hit steals the kill. Killing it opens a rift that spawns a few waves of small creeps for your team. They push toward the enemy, soak the tower shots, and give your heroes a window to go in.
And you can react. You get two timeouts a match to change the plan when the read changes, and a short coach report afterward telling you roughly why the game went the way it did.
There's a quick match against the AI, a career mode where you run a team over a season (it saves automatically), and a 2‑player mode if you want to go against another person. It runs in the browser or as a normal desktop build. Matches usually wrap up in around ten minutes.
It's still a work in progress and I'm balancing it as I go, but the core loop is there and I'd love feedback.
