Glory days
A downloadable game for Windows
Hey! I'm Thomas, and GloryDay is a small top-down multiplayer game I made because I've always loved MOBAs and wanted to try building one myself.
It's heavily inspired by the games I grew up playing League of Legends, Dota 2, Vainglory, and StarCraft. I took the parts I loved most from each and tried to smoosh them into something simple and fun to play with friends.
How a match plays out
Both teams start at opposite ends of the map. Your first goal is simple — push toward the enemy base and destroy it. Along the way you'll fight over capture points that generate extra minerals for your team, and pop into your base shop to buy items that make your hero stronger.
When all the minerals on the map run out, things shift. Respawns stop. A rune appears in the centre of the map — stand on it for a few seconds to capture it and deal a massive hit to a random enemy. With no way back from death, every fight from this point on could end the game.
Win by destroying the enemy base, or outlast everyone when minerals run dry.
6 heroes to choose from
- Soldier — shoots from a distance, places a turret, dashes away
- Mage — throws fireballs that burn an area, heals teammates, teleport
- Hunter — tough melee fighter who charges and stuns
- Samurai — spins through enemies and heals off critical strike
- Rat — goes invisible, lays traps, shoot bolts
- Watcher — hooks enemies in close and gets tankier mid-fight
This is still a beta and very much a work in progress — there are probably bugs and the balance isn't perfect yet. But if you're looking for something fun to play with 2–4 friends, give it a shot!
Just unzip and run main.exe. No install needed. there is a single hosted by already so you can connect to it.
Thanks for checking it out 🙂
One thing to know before downloading
When you run main.exe, Windows might show a security warning saying it doesn't recognise the file. This is normal for small indie games that aren't code-signed. it's just Windows being cautious about unknown executables, not an actual virus.
If you see the warning, click "More info" then "Run anyway" to launch the game.
That said, I completely understand if you'd rather not, it's a reasonable call to make when downloading software from someone you don't know on the internet. No hard feelings at all. 🙂
And please don't mind the arts, I am not very good at drawings.
